Experience
I worked as a research engineer at CSR plc. (SiRF Technologies was acquired by CSR plc.) from Jan 2011 to Aug 2011 in the Fusion team where I was involved in the development of new algorithms on the position engine for making use of measurements both from GPS and MEMS sensors.
I had the opportunity to work in multiple roles at Broadcom Corporation. Starting as an Application Engineer in the GPS Business Unit I got to study the platform dependent behavior of GPS chipsets in Android Environment. Was specifically involved in integrating GPS/GNSS modules into customer platforms. Developed valuable experience into handling customer accounts on the technical perspective
After gaining insights into the industry I moved over into the development role with focus on research where I got an opportunity to work on future ideas that were to be implemented on the future versions of the chipsets. Here I got my hands on serious software development where I was coding in C++ and Matlab for proof of concept. I also got to work in embedded environment and used JTAGs for debugging. This too was more of a hybrid solution development role involving GNSS & sensors on the position engine side

The Next opportunity in my industry life is at Spirent Communication in a Sales role. Here I am involved in increasing sales across all of Americas and a technical lead advising both customers on inside sales on complex technical projects that needs a serious focus. We are a team of two and have a huge region to cover which means there is a lot of travel involved. I travel very frequently to interact with and understand customers' needs in the Canada region and the western US. I have spoken to almost all companies that are involved in design, development or testing of products that rely on location services in these regions
This is a great opportunity which broadened my perspective on the location industry. Here I got tremendous opportunities to grow my network and understand the market trends and make sure product management catches up with these trends to continue helping customers with new features
